PERSONALITY OF THE MONTH: SPEAKER SAM EGBUMS

 HELLO GUYS,
HAPPY NEW MONTH.

WE HAVE A MALE AS OUR PERSONALITY OF THE WEEK TODAY. SO GRAB A SIT AND A PACK OF POPCORN, READ AND GET INSPIRED.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF.

Speaker Samson Egbums (Af.Imccn) is a writer, thought leader and Certified young mentor from the Institute of mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria (Imccn) and International Association of Professions career college, he also runs the speak, write and earn community with 5000+ writers and speakers.

WHAT WAS YOUR GROWING UP LIKE?

I was nurtured in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state as a very passionate kid who can spend all day with story books.
I wrote several short stories but the fear of finance made me dump them in the bin.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I am always inspired by my passion to cause a paradigm shift in others but I have role models that I learn from
1. Seth Godin
2. Gary Vaynerchuk
3. Rick Joyner
4. Og Madino
5. Tony Robbins
6. Emeka Nobis

DOES WRITINGS ENERGIZE OR EXHAUST YOU?

As an author of five books at 20, Writing energizes me and gives me a platform to lend out my thoughts, ideas and perceptions to the world.

The best part of writing is seeing your thoughts and ideas packaged into products, for instance raw rice has little beauty until it is cooked and served.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR IDEAS FROM?

I extract my ideas from the events that occur around me, life stories, histories and educational materials.

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

"You need no one's permission to succeed, discover the power within you, serve humanity, serve God and live like a legend"

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?

This July, I would be hosting a conference "Passion to Profit" in the city of Abeokuta.

My latest book, teach and grow rich will be on sales from 5th of June.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?

I would be a leading thought leader that everyone looks up to in Africa and beyond.

YOUR NEXT PROJECT

I am starting the thought leadership university Nigeria to raise more thought leaders and help people monetize their passions.

WHAT DO YOU IS THE COMMON TRAPS FOR ASPIRING WRITERS

A lot of people will cajole them to write for free under them and help grow their writing which doesn't work.

AS A COACH, WHAT DO YOU THINK IS  KEEPING PEOPLE FROM LIVING THEIR BEST LIVE?

1. Excuses
2. Fear
3. Low self esteem
4. Seeking permission from people.

FIVE FAVORITE BOOKS

1. Teach and grow rich in 30days (Written by Samson Egbums)
2. Unshakable by (Tony Robbins)
3. Better than Good (Zig Ziglar)
4. Tribes (Seth Godin)
5. E-myth (Michael Garber)

ARE YOU A MORNING OR NIGHT PERSON

I am both.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?

I believe it’s possible to love someone at first sight; love is a chemistry we can't explain.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN FIVE WORDS.

I am a passionate being...

ADVICE TO PEOPLE WHO LOOK UP TO YOU.

Failure isn't the end in any journey; you can be an expert in any field or get whatever you want If you engage your mind.

Hope you enjoyed the interview as much as I did?

Please leave us your thoughts on this and don't forget to also leave kind words for Speaker Sam.

PERSONALITY OF THE WEEK: Ezinne Jane.

Hello guys,
I do hope we’re fine and ticking off our goals for the month? May is almost coming to an end and I wish it ends well.
One major goal I had this month, was to be consistent and get people to write on the blog. I’ve not really be consistent with blogging, but I got 2 people that volunteered to write on the blog every week, and it feels like a million dollar. Lol!

We have a new segment in the blog, and it is called Personality of the week. Where we interview young people that are doing well in their fields like Bloggers, Makeup Artists, Models, Photographers, etc. to inspire, educate and motivate our readers. We do hope you enjoy it.

This is our first edition, and we interviewed Ezinne Jane Ugoji, the founder of ZINNIEPOSH.
ENJOY!
1. Who is Ezinne Jane Ugoji?
Ezinne Ugoji is a dark skinned lady who owns a fashion line known as ZINNIEPOSH GLAMOROUS. She is a graduate of English language and literature from Abia state university.

 2. Why did you choose bead making?
I chose bead making because of my love for fashion. I just want to tell my life's story through every possible means...and beading helps me do that. It isn't just going to be beads. ZINNIEPOSH is expanding. I'll keep my lips sealed for now...but expect bigger things.
3. Greatest achievements so far since starting your own business?
I wouldn't want to say anything as great as I want it has come up so far. I’ve had a couple of fantastic experiences (like seeing few foreigners rock Zinnieposh in the USA) but I can't categorically call it greatness yet....Lol. Greatness should be when I become a household name. *hahahaha

 4. What's your favorite place to be in the whole world?
I'm enjoying Nigeria...Lol. I mean that's where God has put me, but South Africa has a lot of fascinating stuff in it. So, I'd say SA.
5. Are you a feminist? What does Feminism mean to you?
I am a Feminist...yes! But my feminism is not the feminism of the world.  I believe that women should go out there and get it! I believe women should have it going for them!! I believe women should have their say! But I also believe that men are very important to women. Feminism shouldn't make you neglect your responsibilities as a woman.
6. If you could live with 3 women for one day each, who will they be and why?
Day 1: Ngozi Okonjo Iwela: That's because she is calm yet very tactful. And that makes her powerful.
Day 2: Mercy Johnson: Oh Lord! That lady inspires me to the last. If you want to define real and you are looking for shortcut, just show them Mercy Johnson.
Day 3: NUPITA: She is black...proud...confident. I'll want to learn what gives her courage.
 7. How did the name Zinnieposh come about?
Lol! It happened when a friend came to the house like 6 years ago. I just left secondary school then. I was like "Nne I need a nick name oh. And almost every Ezinne is known as Zinny. I want something different". And then she said I should change my 'y' to 'ie' and then add posh for a change. That was it. Zinnieposh started off as a nickname ....and look who has a ZINNIEPOSH establishment. Lol.
 8. Biggest lesson learnt in 5 words.
     No One Cares But GOD.
 9. One advice for ladies who look up to you?
Here’s the trick: Try to work towards everything you dream of, be consistent. It works like magic.

  10. What your philosophy of life?
Tough times don't last, tough people do.
 11. How would you describe yourself in five words?
      A Queen in Her kingdom

12. Three Challenges of being an entrepreneur in Nigeria.
      * Capital
      * Scarcity of materials
      * Exchange rate
13.  Why do you love the color black?
You already know. Black is strong! Black is hardworking!!  Black is daring!! Black is beautiful!!  BLACK don’t CRACK!!!
14. What do you think of the Africa Woman?
She is woman who stops when she is done...not when she is tired. She is PILLAR!

Hope you enjoyed the interview as much as I did?

Please leave us your thoughts on this and don't forget to also leave kind words for Ezinne

TAKING STOCK: APRIL 2017

“Clears cobwebs here”
Hello, anybody home? It’s been a while. Gosh, I miss this space.
I do hope I become more consistent with blogging. (Unfaithful blog lover)
Hope it isn’t out of place to say Happy new month? A whole lot had happened to me since this year, especially with my career and personal growth, but that should be a blog post for another day. You agree right? Enough gist dey, Lol!
Writing this particular blog post right now, I really do not know how I feel. It just feels out of place to me, but as the saying goes “old soldier never dies”.
So, come with me lets dig in.

MAKING: Plans towards launching my online TV and online beauty facial contest for models. This has been giving me sleepless night. We shall get there.

DRINKING: Water. I just find myself getting so dehydrated this days. Maybe it’s because of the weather.

READING: My Nation My Agony written by Dr. Maduka Sunny Oby (My uncle) and The Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The former It talks about the corruption in Nigeria, and I do hope I find it very interesting. My reading game has been on spree since this year.

WANTING:  A good Android phone (Mine just packed up for no obvious reason), a Modem and Money (PLENTY OF IT)😞😞

WEARING: This beautiful milk color sandals I got last month, I love how it fits my feet and goes well with anything I put on.

WORKING: Wholeheartedly on my personal development and brand. I intentionally attend events, trainings and conferences to learn and network with people.

FEELING: Overwhelmed and a bit scared in launching my online TV and at the same time inspired and motivated to do great things.

WISHING: I can just see someone that will just dash me money to start up properly. If only wishes come true.

ENJOYING: The new laptop I just got as a gift, it makes work easier for me, though the fan is spoilt and its making this very annoying noise.

LIKING: The fact that I’m gradually stepping out of my comfort zone. Like meeting new people, taking up roles, and most especially registering for a competition.(Script 2 Screen Film)

WONDERING: Why our government are more concerned about themselves than the people they are mandated to serve. Corruption in every corner of this country and it irks the hell out of me.

LOVING: The way I always force myself to wake up very early to read my bible. That is a very big plus for me.

LOOKING: Forward to a more fruitful month. I sincerely wish this month comes with loads of blessings and big wins.

THINKING: Of how best to get advert placement, sponsorship and promotion for the online TV, when we eventually launch and how to balance my life at the moment.

GIGGLING: At how beautiful my dreams are. Very big and challenging dreams, and most times they make me frightened but I enjoy dreaming them.

I do hope you enjoyed this post? Believe me, I missed writing to us and hope I become more consistent and better at it.
How did your April go for you? I do hope it was very beautiful as you reading this. But hey! Even if it was nothing to write home about, never relent, keep fighting and one day the universe will make your dreams come true.
What exciting things are you happy about for the new month, please do share with me and don’t also forget to leave me your thoughts on this.
Until I write to you again, keep been Beautiful and Happy.
Shalom!
